| This
year, the Nutcracker featured a new prologue that showed the
audience where the dancing dolls came from. Uncle Drosselmeyer's Toy Shop
is that mysterious place where those special dolls are first created:
Ballerina, Rat, Soldier, Butterfly & Puppet. New sets, new drops and
new choreography gave the Nutcracker a fresh look for our regular patrons. |

Snow Princesses dance
some
of the most complex chore-
ography of the ballet.

| Clara
travels to the Land of Sweets where she is entertained by saucy Spanish
dancers, the beautiful waltzing flowers and sinuous Arabian dancers. These
special divertissements give the choreographer great freedom to use
dancers' skills to the best possible advantage. |
